This is a little like being in someones living room.. it is a small bar in an old tenement, chairs line each wall and the bar is at the front. The staff are chatty and friendly, and the customers varied from two people who looked like they always went there, a couple of tourists and also a hen party!
I wouldn't make a special trip to go here, but would happily visit again. -

Cute little neighborhood pub. On a Main Street but not too touristy. Rather divey. Cash only. Kronenbourg 1964 on tap.

This is the worst bar to go to. My friend and I have been bar hopping and when we walked in the guy said " no kids allowed". So we said we're of age to drink so he asked for I.D's which is fine. But when he looked at my friends he said " you're not old enough , my friend said yes she is and said her birthday out loud. We asked him if he does mixed drinks and he said " no" so we asked for red wine. He gave us little bottles of wine , didn't even open them AND They weren't even chilled. Don't go to this place it is very small and the bartender is rude.

Nice wee pub, for a tourist, it gives a traditional atmosphere. Not much selection of beer and drinks in general, but an excellent place to kill some time and have a pint and a chat with friends. Prices are good for Edinburgh. The staff was friendly and overall an excellent service.

I think the sign I saw on the door said "The Waterloo Bar" but the location seems right.
We popped in for a quick beer to dodge the rain. Very basic selection of beers at about £3 each. Not much to say about decor: there are chairs, tables and bar seats but not much for atmosphere. It is very close to the train which makes it a good spot if you are killing time. Service was very friendly.
